On 22 September, we brought together the open source Go programming language community for the third time. As always, we started the evening with an intensive hands-on workshop, continued with three presentations and finished with good beer and networking.

Code.kiwi.com organised the first Elasticsearch meetup in Brno on October 13. The event brought three speakers and more than 70 attendees to discuss this highly scalable open source search engine. Here’s a quick run through of what happened.

Kiwi.com, Awscloud and the South Moravian Innovation Centre organised the Travel Hackathon 2016. It was a free-thinking, free-ranging weekend where more than 30 talented developers, designers and managers had just 24 hours to create and develop a travel app from scratch.

The 1st meeting of the Brno MATLAB Meetup Group

A new community of MATLAB users and fans has been set up in Brno. The first meeting of the Brno MATLAB Meetup Group was held on November 3rd. The selected topic was Data Analytics with MATLAB and it resonated with people. More than 80 attendees decided to come and hear about the new MATLAB capabilities in this area.
