Since I’m a huge Haskell fan, I couldn’t miss ZuriHac 2018, one of the biggest Haskell events around. It defines itself as a “collaborative coding festival whose goal is to expand the community and to build and improve Haskell libraries, tools, and infrastructure”.

The purpose was to show the benefits of open data and encourage cities like Brno to publish theirs.

Fifty participants attended our second Python Hackathon organised by Engeto, PwC and Kiwi.com. The proceedings were supervised by more than a dozen Python gurus at the Impact Hub Brno.

Serious levels of concentration

The purpose of these hackathons is to expand and share knowledge with the community. Python fans of all skill levels were able to learn a thing or two from the quality mentorship that was available.
